London Calling: Part Three

The next day we went to Big Ben and Parliament - Look kids! Big Ben! Parliament!

In front of Westminster Abbey - This is where the coronations for the Royal Family are held and a ton of famous people are buried - Dickens, T.S. Eliot, Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll, Lord Byron, etc.

Bobby and Ben

Spring had sprung in London! We had great weather, cool but sunny!

I'm standing in front of some statue, but if you look on the right under the red sign, that is the entrance to the Churchill museum, but even better, the Cabinet war rooms. From 1939-1945 this is where Churchill ran Britain's involvement in WW2. This was a very cool museum since once the war was over they literally just boarded everything up and left it. In fact, one room still has the sugar rations that one of the radio guys was stashing in his desk, just in case...

We ducked into this pub for some fish and chips for lunch and Bobby was happy to find they have his favorite beer on tap! It even came in a Hoegaarden glass! So we offered to buy the glass but they gave it to us for free!! She got a good tip and we got a great souvenir!

Back in our hotel room our sink had a separate faucet for cold and hot water... not sure why anyone thinks that's a good idea.

And of course it wouldn't be a hotel room of ours in Europe if there weren't clothes hanging everywhere to dry! At least in London there was a laundrette around the corner so we didn't have to wash them in the tub!
We had such a great time in London, our last night there we went back to the West End and scored some half price tickets to Les Miserables which was the perfect segue to Paris!
Onward to Paris!!
